After breakfast, visit Wat Sene, Luang Prabang’s oldest monastery, before continuing to the magnificent Wat Xieng Thong, widely regarded as the masterpiece of classical Lao temple architecture. Admire its sweeping roofs and the famous “Tree of Life” mosaic crafted from coloured glass.

Board a traditional boat for a leisurely cruise upstream along the Mekong River, passing picturesque riverside villages and lush mountain scenery.

Your destination is the revered Pak Ou Caves, one of Laos’ most important pilgrimage sites. Hidden within two limestone caverns overlooking the river, the caves contain thousands of Buddha statues accumulated over centuries.

Along the journey, visit several traditional villages, including:

• Ban Xang Hai, renowned for producing traditional Lao rice whisky (Lao Lao).
• Ban Xieng Maen, a peaceful riverside village reflecting authentic local life.
• Ban Chan, famous for its centuries-old pottery tradition.

In the afternoon, continue to Ban Xang Khong and Ban Xieng Lek, artisan villages celebrated for traditional silk weaving and handmade Saa (mulberry bark) paper.

Return to Luang Prabang for an overnight stay.

After breakfast, travel through the beautiful countryside to the spectacular Kuang Si Waterfalls, approximately 30 km from Luang Prabang.

Along the way, stop to visit local ethnic communities and gain insight into the traditions and daily life of Laos’ diverse hill tribe cultures.

Upon arrival at Kuang Si Waterfalls, enjoy time to swim in the crystal-clear turquoise pools, relax amidst the lush tropical forest, or follow the scenic walking trails leading to the upper cascades.

You may also visit the nearby Bear Rescue Centre, where rescued Asiatic black bears are cared for in a protected natural environment while learning about regional wildlife conservation efforts.

Later, transfer to Luang Prabang Railway Station and board Laos’ modern high-speed train for the comfortable journey to Vientiane, offering a fascinating contrast between the country’s ancient heritage and modern infrastructure.

Upon arrival, transfer to your hotel before enjoying a leisurely evening orientation walk along the Mekong Riverside Promenade, a favourite gathering place for locals. As the sun sets, experience the relaxed atmosphere of Laos’ capital while exploring its cafés, markets, and riverside parks.

After breakfast, travel to the fascinating Buddha Park (Xieng Khuan), located near the Thai-Lao Friendship Bridge. This unique sculpture park features more than 200 remarkable Buddhist and Hindu statues created by visionary artist Luang Pu Bunleua Sulilat, making it one of Laos’ most unusual cultural attractions.

If time permits before your departure, continue to the vibrant Morning Market (Talat Sao), an excellent place to browse local handicrafts, textiles, jewellery, and souvenirs.

You may also visit Ban Nong Bouathong, a traditional weaving village renowned for its handcrafted Lao silk textiles (closed on weekends and public holidays).

Afterwards, transfer to Wattay International Airport for your onward flight.
