After breakfast, visit the fascinating Buddha Park (Xieng Khuan), home to more than 200 unique Buddhist and Hindu sculptures set beside the Mekong River.

If time permits, browse the bustling Morning Market or visit Ban Nong Bouathong, a traditional weaving village renowned for its handcrafted Lao textiles (closed on weekends and public holidays).

In the afternoon, transfer to the railway station and board the Laos-China High-Speed Railway to Vang Vieng, a peaceful town surrounded by dramatic limestone mountains.

Upon arrival, enjoy a leisurely walk along the Nam Song River, where the surrounding karst peaks create a spectacular setting at sunset.

Today is dedicated to exploring Vang Vieng’s remarkable natural landscapes.

Begin with a visit to Tham Jang Cave, once used by local villagers as a refuge during historical conflicts.

Continue through scenic rice fields to Tham Phu Kham Cave, one of Laos’ most impressive limestone caverns. At its entrance lies a crystal-clear natural lagoon where you may enjoy a refreshing swim.

Later, visit the popular Blue Lagoon 3, a tranquil natural pool surrounded by lush forest. Relax by the water, try the floating bamboo rafts, or test your balance on the giant horizontal tree trunk spanning the lagoon.

Return to Vang Vieng in the afternoon.

After breakfast, board the high-speed train for Luang Prabang, the UNESCO World Heritage city renowned for its timeless charm and rich cultural heritage.

Visit the Royal Palace Museum, which showcases the history of the Lao monarchy through an impressive collection of royal artefacts.

Later, climb Mount Phousi to enjoy panoramic sunset views over the Mekong and Nam Khan Rivers before exploring the vibrant Luang Prabang Night Market, famous for handcrafted textiles and local artisan products.

Embark on a scenic cruise along the Mekong River, passing tranquil villages and forested hills.

Visit the revered Pak Ou Caves, home to thousands of Buddha statues placed by pilgrims over centuries.

Continue to Ban Xang Hai, famous for its traditional Lao rice whisky, before crossing the river to Ban Xieng Mene and climbing to Wat Chom Phet, where rewarding views overlook Luang Prabang from across the Mekong.

On the return journey, visit Ban Xang Khong and Ban Xieng Lek, two artisan villages celebrated for their traditional silk weaving and handmade Saa paper.
