After an early breakfast, transfer to the railway station and board the Laos-China high-speed train to Luang Prabang, enjoying scenic views of the Lao countryside along the way.

Upon arrival, transfer to your hotel before discovering this UNESCO World Heritage city, renowned for its remarkably well-preserved blend of traditional Lao architecture and French colonial heritage.

Visit the Royal Palace Museum, home to an outstanding collection of royal artefacts reflecting the country’s rich cultural history.

Continue to Wat Sene, Luang Prabang’s oldest monastery, and the magnificent Wat Xieng Thong, considered the masterpiece of classical Lao temple architecture, famous for its exquisite “Tree of Life” mosaic.

Gain deeper insight into Laos’ ethnic diversity at the Traditional Arts & Ethnology Centre, showcasing the country’s many ethnic communities through engaging exhibits and traditional handicrafts.

In the late afternoon, climb Mount Phousi for breathtaking panoramic views over Luang Prabang and the Mekong River at sunset before browsing the lively Night Market, where local artisans sell handmade textiles and traditional crafts.

Continue to Ban Xang Hai, famous for producing traditional Lao rice whisky (Lao Lao), where you can observe the distillation process and sample the local spirit.

Cross the river to Ban Xieng Mene, followed by a short climb to Wat Chom Phet, which offers one of the finest panoramic views across the Mekong towards Luang Prabang.

On your return to town, stop at Ban Xang Khong and Ban Xieng Lek, traditional artisan villages renowned for silk weaving and handmade Saa (mulberry bark) paper.

Continue to the nearby Buffalo Dairy Farm, where you will enjoy a guided farm tour, meet the resident water buffalo, observe a milking demonstration, and learn about sustainable farming initiatives that support local communities.

In the afternoon, visit the spectacular Kuang Si Waterfalls, one of Laos’ most iconic natural attractions. Wander along shaded forest trails, swim in the crystal-clear turquoise pools, or simply relax amid the tranquil surroundings.

Before leaving, visit the nearby Bear Rescue Centre, dedicated to protecting endangered Asiatic black bears rescued from the illegal wildlife trade.

Return to Luang Prabang in the late afternoon and stop at Wat Phabat, a peaceful riverside temple offering beautiful sunset views over the Mekong River.
